This is the place to find your bingo cards if you've signed up for Halloween Horror Bingo but don't have a Discord.

Once your card is finished, we'll post it in the comments below with your name in the subject line.

Curious where you are in the queue? We keep a Card Queue sheet updated as we get your prompts put together. Now that sign-ups are open, we're going to strive to not take longer than a week and a half after you've signed up to get your cards put together, so long as our busy schedules permit.

Good, because Halloween Horror Bingo is back!

Halloween Horror Bingo sign ups have started!

What is Halloween Horror Bingo?
Halloween Horror Bingo (or HHB) is a horror movie(/tv show/music) themed bingo event! Come on in to rent your favorite scary movie and get a few prompts to create for!

The prompts you get (3 from each movie/show/etc) are inspired by which one you choose to rent.

We've got cards rated H for Horror, M for Mild, and E for Everything. Currently, you're welcome to ask for one of each. We will update here if this changes before sign ups end! The chances of duplicate prompts goes up if you do ask for an E for Everything as well as the other two, so please keep that in mind when choosing!

_{Note: Mild prompts means there won't be any horror-specific prompts on the card, but there can still be prompts related to sex as well as angst.}

Due to the darker themes of some of these prompts, this event is 18+.

And that's a wrap on this year's sign ups! We officially had more sign ups this year than last. That's awesome! Those of you who did, thank you for joining in on the bingo fun ^-^

We do run events throughout the year, many of which are Discord server-only. So if you missed sign ups for this year's JBB but still want to join in some other fun stuff, you're welcome to come hang out with us on Discord.

When joining the server, we do ask that you read and checkmark the Server Rules in the rules-and-faq channel and post a quick intro but after that you're welcome to lurk as much as you like.

July Break Bingo 2025 Sign Ups Open!

It's that time of year again: another round of July Break Bingo!

Sign-ups are open now and close on July 7th!

This is an extremely customizable bingo that you can curate to your every need, spanning all fandoms and mediums, with a broad range of prompts. You can opt out of Romance, Whump, NSFW and various other options (including the FREE space, if you just want all of your squares to be prompts).

As always, we have the usual bingo card sizes:

a 5x5 card (with 5 alternate prompts)
a 3x3 card
a 1x5 card

We're also bringing back the more unique sizes that we added last year (4x4, 6x6, 7x7, etc.) for those who are members of our Discord server. Feel free to join if you haven't yet already and would like to choose some of those other card sizes!

The sign up form can be found here. This event is 18+ but you'll have the option to opt into or out of NSFW as you like.

If you signed up for some bingo cards with only "don't use Discord" under the contact information, please reach out to us here or on our tumblr so that we can get your cards made and sent to you.

General Event Information

Soft Rules for our events:

Every prompt is designed to be open to interpretation! Feel free to change the wording or twist things in your own way. Line Starters don’t even need to be lines said out loud. They can be a thought character has or the start of a plot to build around.
Prompts can be combined to any extent, mashed together, and even inverted.
Prompt fills can be posted on any platform you see fit, including in multiple places. But if you want them reblogged/shared on the official JBB tumblr, please submit links to them here. (Note for Dreamwidth: We will be creating a post specifically for you to share links to your event works in the comments).
All media forms are welcome and encouraged (including: writing, gifs/gif sets, art, videos, audio, moodboards and/or collages, photo edits, graphics, icons, playlists/fanmixes, rec lists, post metas or rants, etc.).
It’s not required, but links back to the tumblr page or even the AO3 collection are strongly appreciated (though you can also go completely dark and not even mention that it’s for any kind of event, if you’re just looking for inspiration or to get out of a writing funk, we’re happy to help!).
Cards don’t require 100% completion and you won’t be penalized or excluded from next year’s bingo if you don’t complete a square/line/etc.
Prompts are free to be used even after the event! You can continue to fill out your card, you just won’t get any kind of reward for completion once the submission window closes (for that specific event).
If you do want to be rewarded (if applicable per the event) for your efforts, you’ll need to submit to the appropriate forms (links available through tumblr or on our Discord).
